The DevOps Institute Ambassador program are volunteers from across the globe who take the leading role in empowering DevOps Institute community members with SKIL framework to advance the Humans of DevOps with Skills, Knowledge, Ideas & Learning.
DevOps Institute Ambassadors (DOIA) are individuals, Humans of DevOps pioneers who are passionate about DevOps movement, are recognized DevOps thought leaders and subject matter experts and who are willing to contribute voluntarily to the Collective Body of Knowledge (CBok) of DevOps, local community engagement and support the global Humans of DevOps community by DevOps Institute.
The DOIA program is designed to help DOIA realize their personal vision for the future, help establish valuable connections, pursuing 21st century skills needed to achieve their professional goals with a head start, all while being a mentor and colleague to other community members.
Successful DevOps Institute Ambassadors are influencers, practitioners, Instructors, consultants, bloggers, advocates, community builders, DevOps Days and meetups organizers and evangelists who are willing to contribute content, participate in forums and online groups, attend, stand up or lead community events and are excited about exploring and creating other opportunities to engage with the community.

Be the HUMAN of DevOps pioneer to help people interested in DevOps Institute OPEN global community and resources
As a DOIA, you will be an important resource and the face of global Humans of DevOps community to support people interested in the DevOps Institute global community membership and resources and its corresponding initiatives and events built to support them. We will provide you with guidance on how to best represent DevOps Institute as an Ambassador and provide support for you to build and advance the community.
Help local community members learn more about DevOps Institute global community, membership, resources & initiativesAs a DOIA, you will organize and host local DevOps Institute SKIL- UP events. The DevOps Institute will provide resources to help you set up your SKIL-UP event and ongoing support such as swag, credits and reimbursements for approved costs associated with running your first community based SKIL - UP event. It would be expected to run your subsequent SKIL- UP events on your own with the help of DevOps Institute and other Enterprises, Individuals, community builders from your own network and the network of others involved. You are welcomed to invite other local resources and thought leaders to help you stand up your first and subsequent SKIL- UP.
Represent the community publicly and be the regional face of DevOps Institute and its mission
As a DOIA, you will be a public-facing community representative, passionate about supporting the community to advance the human elements of DevOps which is the core mission of DevOps Institute.
You can choose the way you are most comfortable representing DevOps Institute whether that’s through public speaking, standing events like SKIL-UP or written content such as blogs, forums, social media groups, channels and other mediums. We will work with you to find the best fit and provide you with resources to help you be successful as DevOps Institute Ambassador. Of course, DOIA can also and do nominate potential Ambassadors aligned with DOIA objectives.
