Workshops for Executives July 9th, 2020 | Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield, India
July 9 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Workshop for Sr. Executives — On July 9th, we are conducting multiple workshops for Sr. Executives to help them understand why and how to do DevOps in their organization. These workshops will be led by renowned DevOps leaders
DataOps is the new buzzword gaining traction in the IT industry. Whether one is doing Data Science and AI/Machine Learning (ML) Projects, or adoption DevOps to improve one’s application delivery capability, the need to address the lack of agility and availability of data is driving DataOps adoption.
In an enterprise there are three sets of stakeholders engaged with data.
1. There are Data Owners: people who create and own the data because they own the application generating data; customers use that application and data is created/gathered; or the data is coming from sources such as telemetry data from the application or a log data from the application running in production. 2. There are Data Managers. These are the database administrators whose job is to manage the data, store it and secure it. And the IT teams that manage the systems and infrastructure that manage the data. 3. There are the Data Consumers. These are the data scientists, the AI and ML experts, and the developers and testers who need the data to be able to do their job.
DataOps is a set of approaches, across process improvement, technology adoption, and cultural and organizational change, to allow these three sets of stakeholders to work with, manage and share data across the enterprise in an agile and secure manner.
This ½-day workshop will introduce attendees to the concepts of DataOps. The workshop will approach DataOps thru two perspectives: (1) DataScience and AI/ML adoption, and (2) DevOps Adoption. The workshop will walk thru use cases and adoption examples and success stories for both perspectives. The workshop will leverage the technique of Value Stream Mapping to show how to identify the inefficiencies and bottlenecks in a Data pipeline across the enterprise and leverage the right DataOps practices to mitigate the inefficiencies. The workshop will also focus on the necessary cultural and organizational changes needed to adopt the right data culture in an enterprise to be able to adopt DataOps at scale and extract the full business value from the data in the organization.
